Ciclo do Ensino Básico (CEB).
aproveitamento.
Abstract This final report of the masters degree intends to reflect on the journey of learning constructed within the pedagogical practice, at the level of teaching and research. These two situations were part of our learning trajectory and are the main components of our professional formation. Both teaching and research enabled us to build knowledge about the pedagogical intervention and in this report we reflect on that journey of learning. In the teaching part, the intervention was developed both in early childhood education and in primary education. Concerning the study it was developed in an early childhood education center where we collected information to analyze the potential of the organization of the space for the promotion of child's play. To contextualize the study we mobilized authors studying the organization of space as a dimension of curriculum management and children’s play, as well as some curriculum models of early childhood education. The study relied on observation and registering the children in free time activities (attending the interest areas). It was a study of qualitative nature, since the data was collected through observation, being descriptive and detailed. Research results have shown children’s choice of areas, their type(s) of play during their actions in the areas, discussing these data through its framing in the analysis of the room. Taking into account the results, an intervention proposal was conceived for the organization of classroom regarding the promotion of childnren's play and learning.
