Abstract(s)
Abstract This final stage report is conducted under the professional master's degree in Preschool Education and first Cycle of Basic Education in Escola Superior de Educação de Viseu, which is integrated into Instituto Politécnico de Viseu , under the supervision of Professor Ana Patricia Martins. It is divided in two parts. In the first one, we analyze and reflect on the practices adopted in the internship of the curricular areas Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II and Prática de Ensino Supervisionada III, highlighting what was done in both teaching levels and the teaching skills that have been acquired throughout this process. The opportunity of an internship in two different teaching contexts was an advantage to my training and growth as a future teacher since there were different contexts with its own characteristics. Thus, I acquired professional knowledge at cultural, scientific and technological level. I improved my planning, diversifying teaching strategies aiming that my intervention could be more attractive, stimulating, motivating and significant for children/students so that they could show themselves engaged and involved in the proposed tasks. The second part refers to the development of a research that seeks to understand how come the use of educational games in Mathematics promotes the development of the notion of set in children attending pre-school education, particularly children with 4, 5 and 6 years old of a Kinder-garden in Viseu. The results of this investigation point that the use of educational games in mathematics on this context is relevant to the construction of the concept of set and to the understanding of the operations between sets, as well as for the development of logical-mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication. With this research report I improved some professional skills and acquired other, such as autonomy initiative, responsibility, observation and reflection. Abilities of planning and task compliance also improved with the completion of this report. The writing ability and synthesis as well as precision, order and rigor were other skills that I acquired.
