A consequence it is common for the users nowadays to face the challenge of dealing with a random and disorganized information on the web. Within this context, conceptual models emerge as an explicit form of better interpreting, understanding and simplifying the ideas concerning a specific situation. So, this study aims at presenting a conceptual model focused on the information/memory management of cultural events as a way to enhance their preservation. As a qualitativeapproached study it was based on a documental analysis and on focus group sessions conducted with key stakeholders of a film festival in São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil. Results unveil that in the Brazilian film festivals’ scenario, there is still a lack of recorded information, leading to the difficulty in finding and systematizing relevant information.
