Gomes, Helena Margarida dos Santos Vasconcelos; Gutman, Ivan; Martins, Enide Andrade; Robbiano, María; San Martín, BernardoA new spectral graph invariant spr_{R} , called Randi\'c spread, is defined and investigated. This quantity is equal to the maximal difference between two eigenvalues of the Randi\'c matrix, disregarding the spectral radius. Lower and upper bounds for spr_{R} are deduced, some of which depending on the Randi\'c index of the underlying graph.
