dc.description.abstractA implementação da metodologia Building Information Modelling (BIM) em pequenas e médias empresas (PME) é um processo que está, ainda, praticamente no começo. Este trabalho procurou incidir sobre uma parte da indústria da Arquitetura, Engenharia, Construção e Operação (AECO), nomeadamente sobre as PME, com vista a melhor compreender e estado atual da utilização e de maturidade do BIM, quais foram as estratégias de implementação dessa metodologia e contribuir para uma maior disseminação desta metodologia. Este trabalho foi circunscrito às PME sediadas na Comunidade Intermunicipal (CIM) Viseu Dão-Lafões, região de Portugal, bem como das microrregiões de Pato Branco e Palmas no Paraná, no Brasil. Inicialmente é apresentada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre alguns conceitos associados à metodologia BIM e à sua implementação em PME. O estudo também procura entender qual é a perceção das empresas das regiões supracitadas em relação aos benefícios e dificuldades trazidos pelo BIM. Para isso desenvolveu-se um questionário que foi distribuído, de forma anónima, por empresas do setor AECO de Portugal e do Brasil. Obtiveram-se 60 respostas válidas ao questionário, correspondentes a 26 de empresas sediadas no Brasil e 34 empresas de Portugal, mas somente 28 foram consideradas no estudo (PME que têm conhecimento do BIM). Estas 28 respostas foram consideradas para avaliar o nível de maturidade BIM dessas PME, as principais dificuldades enfrentadas, bem como os motivos que levam algumas empresas a ainda não terem iniciado o processo de implantação da metodologia BIM, além das vantagens e dificuldades observadas no processo de implementação pelas empresas que já optaram por incluir a metodologia BIM no seu sistema de trabalho. Estes resultados, apesar das suas limitações, permitiram concluir que o investimento inicial e a qualificação dos recursos humanos são os principais motivos que levam 22 PME a ainda não terem iniciado o processo de implantação da metodologia BIM ou estarem apenas a iniciar o seu uso. Por sua vez, 2 PME optaram por uma estratégia baseado num problema como processo para implementação do BIM enquanto as outras 4 PME adotaram uma estratégia de implementação progressiva do BIM.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: The implementation of BIM in small and medium enterprises (SME) is a process that is still in its early stages. This work intended to focus on part of the industry of Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO), namely SME, in order to better understand the current state of use and maturity of BIM (Building Information Modelling), which were the implementation strategies of this working methodology and contribute to a greater dissemination of BIM. This work was limited to SME based in the Intermunicipal Community Viseu Dão-Lafões, region of Portugal, as well as the micro-regions of Pato Branco and Palmas in Paraná, Brazil. Initially a literature review is presented on some concepts associated with the BIM methodology and its implementation in SME. The study also seeks to understand the perception of companies in the identified regions regarding the benefits and difficulties brought by BIM. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed and distributed anonymously to companies in the AECO sector in Portugal and Brazil. Sixty valid answers to the questionnaire were obtained, corresponding to 26 companies based in Brazil and 34 companies from Portugal, but only 28 were considered in the study (SME that are aware of BIM). These 28 answers were used to study the BIM maturity level of SME, the main difficulties faced, as well as the reasons why some companies have not yet started the BIM methodology implementation process, in addition to the advantages and difficulties observed in the implementation process by companies that have already chosen to include BIM methodology in their work system. These results, despite their limitations, allowed us to conclude that the initial investment and the qualification of human resources are the main reasons why 22 SME have not yet started the BIM methodology implementation process or are just beginning to use it. Furthermore, 2 SME chose a problem-based strategy as the process for implementing BIM whilst the other 4 SME adopted a progressive BIM implementation strategy.pt_PT
