Abstract(s)
As estruturas durante o seu período de vida podem estar sujeitas às mais diversas ações. Uma
das ações que maior risco traz à sua segurança estrutural é a ação sísmica. Além de esta poder
envolver perda material também pode tirar vidas humanas pelo que a sua segurança deve estar
corretamente acautelada.
Neste trabalho abordam-se aspetos regulamentares relevantes para a análise sísmica de
edifícios em betão armado, em particular com o recurso a duas análises elásticas lineares,
segundo o Eurocódigo 8 (2010).
Será efetuado um estudo de um caso prático onde é apresentada a aplicação das metodologias
lineares de análise sísmica a um edifício de betão armado.
ABSTRACT: During its serves life structures may be subjected to diverse actions. One of the actions that mostly increases risk to structural safety is the seismic action. In addition to material losses, human casualties may also be involved, thus structural safety must be properly maintained. This study focuses on standard issues relevant to seismic analysis of reinforced concrete buildings, using two linear elastic analysis, according to Eurocode 8 (2010). The study of a practical example is presented, in which the application of the linear seismic analysis methodologies to a reinforced concrete building is performed.
