Enquadramento: A Visita de Enfermagem
Pré-operatória (VEPO) promove o desempenho e satisfação do
desenvolvendo maior confiança e segurança no doente e
a VEPO;
- Conhecer a perceção dos doentes quanto à
utilidade da VEPO;
Cirurgia Vascular do Hospital S. Teotónio – Viseu.
As varáveis discretas foram descritas através de
frequências absolutas (nº) e relativas (%); As variáveis
enfermeiros do BO.
Abstract Background: The Visiting Nurse Preoperative (VNP), promotes the performance and satisfaction of nurses perioperative humanization by the exercise of their functions, to the continuous improvement of care, developing greater trust and confidence in the patient and family. Given this evidence, it is important to know the opinion of patients face the VEPO and to what extent their realization is an important factor in the improvement and quality care for patients. Objectives of the research: - To know the opinion of patients who have been made VNP; - To know the perception of patients about the usefulness of VNP; - Collect data to substantiate the added value of the procedure as a factor for continuous improvement. Methods: A descriptive study of simple quantitative method, developed from March 2009 to January 2011. We applied a questionnaire, with closed, open and opinion questions prepared by the authors. 107 interviews have been made between 1 and 3 months postoperatively, by simple random draw, to the patients operated for services 1 and 2 Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery, Hospital S. Teotónio – Viseu, Portugal. The discrete variables were described by absolute frequencies (n) and relative frequencies (%); Continuous variables using the average, standard deviation and median. Results: The patients' opinion and their perception regarding VNP, highlights the importance and usefulness of it, where the most important thing is the peace, confidence and security to receive information about the Operation Theater. It is important to be visited by nurses from Operation Theater. The results go towards consider VNP as crucial in preoperative preparation, a factor that supports continuous improvement and quality of care.
