utilização no 1.º CEB.
ABSTRACT The following report includes a critical reflection on developed practices in a context and also an empirical research which intends to ascertain if teachers and students welcome group work and in which way do they develop it on teaching - learning activities with a particular emphasis on the curriculum area of Environment Studies. For this purpose we used resources developed by us during our practice activities as well as the advised education’ authors in order to bethink not only on our practices but also on the group work methodology applied on primary school. In what concerns to the empirically data, we conducted a descriptive research based on a inquiry by questionnaire which was applied to teachers and students from the fourth year of all public and private schools in the city of Lamego. The obtained data showed that both teachers and students are quite receptive to group work. This kind of work is often developed inside the fourth year students’ classrooms, mainly when they are working on Environment Studies and it is usually conducted on information research and on experimental research work/activities. This methodology allows students not only a bigger social interaction and also favor the contents acquisition in this curricular area.
