Abstract(s)
As variações linguísticas constituem, junto com o
português padrão, a Língua Portuguesa do Brasil, falada por
mais de 190 milhões de brasileiros (IBGE, 2010). A
diversidade de linguagem presente na população contribui
para a complexidade das diferentes falas. No entanto, muitas
The linguistic variations, together with the Standard Portuguese Language, establish the Portuguese Language of Brazil, which is spoken by more than 200 million Brazilians (IBGE, 2010). The population‟s language diversity contributes to the complexity of different ways of speaking. However, most of the time, during the mother tongue teaching, those differences are not appreciated and still are considered a deviation of the standard rule. Through an investigation research, with literature review of well-known authors in this subject, this article discusses the implications of linguistic variations teaching and its difficulties in elementary school years, highlighting the importance of fighting against the linguistic prejudice and showing school‟s influence on their spread. We seek yet to define the concepts of linguistics variations and standard rule and present the factors that influence the teaching of linguistic variation.
