dc.description.abstractEnquadramento: Este Relatório Final foi realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio com Relatório Final em contexto de Urgência e em contexto de Cuidados Intensivos, integrada no 8º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica (CMEMC), da Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu (ESSV), do Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (IPV). Objetivos: Demonstrar as competências desenvolvidas na área de especialidade em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica; Caracterizar o estado da arte da investigação em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu. Metodologia: O presente Relatório encontra-se dividido em dois capítulos principais, sendo que o primeiro é relativo aos estágios contexto de Urgência e em contexto de Cuidados Intensivos, cujo objetivo foi atingir proficiência nas competências gerais do Enfermeiro Especialista e nas competências especificas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica. No segundo capítulo foi desenvolvida uma componente de investigação que consistiu num estudo retrospetivo com o objetivo de caracterizar o estado de arte da investigação em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica na ESSV entre 2010 e 2022 Conclusão: Considero terem sido globalmente alcançados os objetivos na aquisição das competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica. Na componente investigativa os resultados demonstraram que dos 180 relatórios finais passíveis de análise plena, a maioria corresponde a estudos primários quantitativos que estão em linha com as áreas prioritárias de investigação definidas pela Ordem dos Enfermeiros e na sua globalidade também com o observado internacionalmente. As linhas de investigação mais seguidas foram respeitantes a “Cuidados de Enfermagem” (22%); “Expectativas” (16%) e “Qualidade de Vida” (13%). Nos temas abordados, a área de Especialidade em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica mais representada foi a de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica (33%). A produção de estudos secundários deve ser impulsionada e deverão ser produzidos mais estudos do género para acompanhar e nortear a produção de conhecimento pertinente e aplicável às necessidades práticas dos Enfermeiros. dc.description.abstractAbstract Background: This Final Report was carried out within the scope of the curricular unit Internship with Final Report in the context of Emergency Department and in the context of Intensive Care, integrated in the 8th Master's Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing, of the Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu (ESSV) , from the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV). Objetives: Demonstrate the skills obtained in the specialized area of Medical-Surgical Nursing; To characterize the state of the art of research in Medical-Surgical Nursing at the Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu. Methods: This Report is divided into two main chapters, the first of which is related to development of skills in medical-surgical nursing, whose objective was to achieve proficiency in the general skills of the Specialist Nurse and in the specific skills of the Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing. In the second chapter, an investigation component was developed, consisting of a retrospective study with the objective of characterizing the state of the art of research in medical-surgical nursing at the ESSV between 2010 and 2022. Conclusion: I consider that the objectives in the acquisition of common and specific competences of the Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing have been achieved globally. In the investigative component, the results show that of the 180 final reports subject to full analysis, the majority correspond to quantitative primary studies that are in line with the priority areas of research defined by the Portuguese Order of Nurses and in its globality also in line with what is observed internationally. The most followed lines of investigation were related to “Nursing Care” (22%); “Expectations” (16%) and “Quality of Life” (13%). In the considered themes, the area of Specialty in Medical-Surgical Nursing most represented was Nursing for the Person in Critical Situation (33%). The production of secondary studies should be encouraged and it is mandatory that more studies of this kind be produced to monitor and guide the production of knowledge that is pertinent and applicable to the practical needs of nurses.
