Abstract(s)
A Economia Social é algo difícil de definir, é um setor que tem vindo a crescer, no entanto, sabe-se que também ultrapassa algumas dificuldades, principalmente pelo facto de não ter uma grande diversidade de organizações desenvolvidas por todo o mercado.
Neste estudo propus-me ir ao encontra das Santas Casas da Misericórdia do distrito de Aveiro e do distrito de Vila Real, de forma a compreender o contributo destas organizações da Economia Social no desenvolvimento social-local e perceber qual a diferença de se sediarem no litoral ou no interior do país.
Provou-se que há efetivamente a perceção de contributos relevantes para as comunidades onde se inserem, pois são criados serviço e apoios às pessoas que de outra forma não havia. Porém, é notória a dependência destas para sobreviverem, sendo cada vez mais necessário auxiliarem-se a protocolos com outras entidades, nomeadamente, a Câmara Municipal, Junta de Freguesia e a Segurança Social que é o pilar destas organizações.
The social economy is something hard to define, it’s a sector that has been growing, however, it is known that it goes through some difficulties, mainly by the fact that it doesn’t have a large diversification of developed organizations on the market. In this study I went out to the district of Aveiro and Vila Real to find Santas Casas da Misericórdia, in order to better understand the contribute of this social economy organizations on the social-local development and to know the difference between being based on the coast or on the inside. It proved that, effectively, there is a perception of relevant contributions to the communities, because it provides services and support to people that otherwise wouldn’t exist. Although, it is remarkable the dependence they have to survive, being increasingly necessary to link to other entities, such as the town hall, the parish council and the social security that are the helping these services to prevail.
