Abstract(s)
Enquadramento: O Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) corresponde ao comprometimento
neurológico de ocorrência súbita, com duração superior a vinte e quatro horas e provável
origem vascular, cuja prevenção e abordagem clínica precoce são pilares essenciais da
gestão terapêutica.
Objetivos: Avaliar os conhecimentos do cidadão comum, sobre os fatores de risco e sinais
de alerta do AVC; planificar métodos de educação para a saúde, para os acompanhantes que
recorrem ao serviço de urgência; Promover melhoria na literacia em saúde do cidadão comum
em relação ao AVC.
Métodos: Estudo quantitativo correlacional- descritivo e transversal. A amostra será
constituída pelos acompanhantes dos utentes que acorram ao serviço de Urgência nos meses
de Outubro e Novembro de 2021. Trata-se uma amostra do tipo não probabilístico por
conveniência, como instrumento de recolha de dados, aplicar-se-á um questionário para
caraterização sociodemográfica e avaliação de conhecimentos sobre fatores de risco e sinais
de alerta do Acidente Vascular Cerebral.
Resultados: Estruturou-se um Projeto de Intervenção e um Projeto de Investigação com vista
à melhoria na área da qualidade em saúde, criando métodos de educação para a saúde ao
cidadão comum, no que diz respeito aos fatores de risco e sinais de alerta do AVC, diminuindo
o impacto desta patologia.
Conclusão: Espera-se que os resultados apurados sirvam de ponto de partida para melhorar
o nível de conhecimentos do cidadão comum, visando a deteção e alerta o mais precocemente
possível, bem como o estabelecimento atempado do tratamento efetivo. Pretende-se ainda
promover a aquisição de hábitos de vida saudáveis visando a melhoria da qualidade em
saúde.

Abstract Framework: Cerebral Vascular Accident corresponds to a sudden onset of neurological impairment, lasting more than twenty-four hours and with probable vascular origin, whose prevention and early clinical approach are essential pillars of therapeutic management. Objectives: Assess the knowledge of ordinary people about the risk factors and warning signs of stroke; Plan health education methods for companions who use the emergency service; Promote improvement in the health literacy of ordinary people in relation to stroke. Methods: Quantitative correlational-descriptive and cross-sectional study. The sample will consist of the companions of users who come to the Emergency Department in September and October 2021. This is a non-probabilistic convenience sample. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire will be applied to socio-demographic characterization and assessment of knowledge about risk factors and warning signs of stroke. Results: An Intervention Project and a Research Project were structured with a view to improving the area of quality in health, creating methods of health education for the common citizen, with regard to risk factors and warning signs of stroke , decreasing the impact of this pathology. Conclusion: It is expected that the results obtained will serve as a starting point to improve the level of knowledge of the common citizen, aiming at detection and warning as early as possible, as well as the timely establishment of effective treatment. It is also intended to promote the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits with a view to improving the quality of health. Keywords: Stroke, Risk Factors, Warning Signs.
