This Final Internship Report describes the activities carried out throughout the internship at a Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ) from the central region of Portugal, within the scope of the Master's Degree in Psychosocial Intervention with Children and Young People at Risk, at the Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Viseu. The internship was guided by the diagnosis of this Commission's needs, with activities planned and implemented that aim to respond to the challenges encountered, enhancing the integral development and well-being of children and young people. Thus, the following measures were integrated into the intervention plan: “Prevention of risk behaviors”, “Promotion of parental skills”, “Community awareness”, “Disclosure of the work carried out by the CPCJ” and “Promotion of training initiatives/training for CPCJ technicians”. Some of the objectives achieved stand out, such as investigating the prevalence of bullying victimization in a group of schools in the municipality, training families to adopt conscious parenting skills, publicizing and demystifying the work carried out by the CPCJ, raising community awareness of the problem of children and young people in risk/dangerous situations, and maximize the time of CPCJ technicians. On a personal level, it is also important to highlight the contribution of the internship to the development of personal and professional knowledge, within the scope of psychosocial intervention in the system of promotion and protection of children and young people.
