Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho surge da necessidade de minimizar dificuldades ao nível da escrita identificadas num grupo de alunos a frequentar o 4.º ano de escolaridade, cujos textos escritos que elaboram são curtos e pobres ao nível de ideias.
O principal objetivo deste estudo é o de tentar perceber se, de alguma forma, a Expressão e Educação Musical pode contribuir para o enriquecimento da Escrita, nomeadamente no aumento do conteúdo e informação.
Escolheu-se a investigação-ação como metodologia a utilizar por se tratar de uma intervenção em pequena escala, com vista a solucionar um problema e, assim, contribuir para a melhoria da ação pedagógica.
Como instrumentos de recolha de dados, recorremos ao questionário e aos textos escritos pelos alunos, ambos utilizados antes e após a intervenção.
Este estudo foi desenvolvido com um grupo de alunos a frequentar o 4.º ano de escolaridade em várias escolas do centro urbano de Viseu. Em geral, estas crianças não gostam de escrever, mostram-se aborrecidas quando têm de redigir textos, têm dificuldade em se expressar e os textos que escrevem são pouco desenvolvidos e repetitivos.
Uma das conclusões deste estudo é a de que trabalhar a Expressão e Educação Musical em simultâneo com a área da escrita ajuda a criar um maior gosto, motivação e interesse por escrever. Verifica-se ainda que os textos escritos, após a intervenção, são mais ricos e extensos, com mais conteúdo e informação.
Está na altura dos professores olharem para a Expressão e Educação Musical como área fundamental para a formação do ser humano e como coadjuvante ou estratégia para melhorar outras áreas do currículo como é o caso da escrita.
This study arises from the need to minimize writing difficulties perceived in a fourth grade primary school pupil group, whose written texts are short and poor in terms of ideas. Therefore, the study main purpose is to understand if Musical Expression and Education may develop the writing, concerning its content and information improvement. It was used the action research methodology due to the fact that it is a small scale intervention. Moreover, this choice aims solving a problem and consequently develops the pedagogical action. The data collection tools were a questionnaire and the pupil written texts, both carried out before and after the musical intervention. This study were carried out with a of fourth grade primary school pupils from several schools in Viseu urban center. These pupils manifest a lack of taste for writing and they feel dull whenever they are asked to write. Their written texts are poor and repetitive, conveying expression difficulties. One of the study major conclusions is that using Musical Expression and Education along with writing helps to promote the taste and motivation for this skill. It was also demonstrated that after the musical intervention the pupil written works were longer, richer and more expressive. It is about time teachers realize the importance of Musical Expression and Education as a major area in what the human being growth is concerned. Furthermore, this can work as a strategy in order to improve other curriculum areas like writing.
