Abstract(s)
organizacional.

Abstract Context: Nurses are key pieces for healthcare organizations to achieve success. In this sense, an effective leadership style that promotes the commitment and motivation of these professionals is essential to ensure that they achieve individual and collective goals. Objectives: Identify the relationship of sociodemographic variables in nurses' motivation; analyze the relationship of professional characterization variables in nurses' motivation; determine whether perceived transformational leadership is related with nurses' motivation. Methods: Study with a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional approach with quantitative analysis in a sample obtained by convenience, by networks, consisting of 215 nurses, of which 160 (74.4%) were female and 55 (25.6%) were male, with ages between 24 and 62 years. The data collection instrument integrates a sociodemographic and professional characterization questionnaire and the Global Transformational Leadership scale and Multifactorial Scale of Motivation at Work (Multi-Moti). Results: Regarding motivation, we found that the work organization dimension established statistically significant differences with gender, sector, area of functions and main function. Regarding the performance dimension, it was observed that it presented statistically significant differences with gender, academic qualifications, length of service, sector, area of functions and main function. In turn, in the achievement/power subscale, statistically significant differences were found between gender, academic qualifications, professional title, length of service, sector, area of functions and main function. Regarding the involvement dimension, statistically significant differences were observed with professional title, sector, area of functions and main function. On the other hand, all dimensions of the motivation scale establish a highly significant and direct relationship with transformational leadership. Conclusions: Transformational leadership is an essential tool in the nursing field with numerous contributions to nurses' motivation and organizational success.
