Abstract(s)
justifica a realização deste estudo.

Abstract Background: Professional satisfaction has raised, over time, the curiosity and interest of researchers from the most diverse areas, and nursing is not an exception. However, there is a gap when it comes to professional satisfaction in the area of Pre-Hospital Emergency, which justifies the accomplishment of this study. Objectives: to evaluate the professional satisfaction of nurses who are part of Pre-Hospital Emergency teams; identify sociodemographic variables that influence the professional satisfaction of the nurses under study; identify the professional variables that influence the professional satisfaction of the study sample; to analyze the influence of psychological variables (personality, burnout and chronic fatigue) on professional satisfaction. Methods: Quantitative study, cross-sectional, analytical-correlational descriptive. The data were collected from 134 nurses working in the various existing means of prehospital care at the national level, with a predominantly male sample (59.0%), with a mean age of 35.31 years (± 5.81 years) . The data collection instrument consists of a questionnaire with questions of sociodemographic and professional characterization, the Work Satisfaction questionnaire by Pais Ribeiro (2002), the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) translated and adapted to Portuguese by Cesaltino Fonte (2011), the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI-12) and the Chronic Fatigue Scale (Barton and Cols, 1992). Results: Sex and marital status were the sociodemographic variables that influenced the professional satisfaction of the nurses in the Pre-Hospital Emergency teams, being the male nurses and those who did not have the most satisfied professionals. The professional category, the professional experience, the type of bond, the number of weekly hours, the realization of extra gardens and the social recognition of the profession were the variables of professional context that influenced the professional satisfaction of the nurses under study, being more satisfied the nurses (35 hours / week) and with full hours (40 hours/week), those who report having to work overtime. Conclusions: The predictors of overall job satisfaction are personal burnout, chronic fatigue, and neuroticism. Personal burnout and chronic fatigue establish an inverse relationship with job satisfaction, suggesting that the less personal burnout and the less chronic fatigue, the more nurses tend to feel professional satisfaction.
