A prótese a aplicar
possível a arquitetura do joelho, preservando o osso.
O objetivo do
do joelho, prótese total do joelho, exercícios isométricos joelho, exercícios isotónicos

ABSTRACT Introduction: The total knee arthroplasty should be applied when all other conventional techniques fail or are not sufficient. The prosthesis to be applied depends on the state of lesion and the knee, always seeking to preserve as much as possible the design of the knee, while preserving the bone. Because it is a very aggressive disease, should be made of all therapeutic measures for the recovery is fast and successfully. The success of surgery is assessed by the absence of pain and functional recovery of the knee in a short time. The aim of this stufy is analise the functional rehabilitation of knee in total prosthesis. Methodology: A survey was done in electronic libraries, specifically in Pubmed and B-on, with the following descriptors, functional rehabilitation of the knee, total knee prosthesis, knee isometric, isotonic knee exercises, knee motor continued mobilization, stretching exercises knee, cryotherapy and hydrotherapy knee were obtained 800 after reading the articles and abstracts, and application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, left five, who entered the final analysis of this study. Results: The results suggest that patients undergoing a total knee prosthesis are considered excellent when the patient can 90o of knee flexion, also report that the program of resistance training on muscle strength is an effective method to combat the deficits of the lower limbs and cryotherapy has resulted in small improvements particularly in reducing edema and pain relief. Conclusion: There are several therapeutic methodologies and none is more important than another, which should be implemented together in a protocol recovery that encompasses all available means. Keywords: total knee arthroplasty, knee total prosthesis, functional rehabilitation.
