| dc.description.abstract | Em Portugal, as paredes de tabique são uma das técnicas mais antigas e mais características da construção do património edificado antigo. Na região de Viseu, as paredes de tabique, para além de serem utilizadas como elementos de compartimentação (o mais habitual em Portugal), também são utilizadas como elementos integrantes da estrutura principal dos edifícios, uma vez que possuem características resistentes. O objetivo principal das investigações já realizadas nesta área é dar a conhecer as propriedades mecânicas dos materiais constituinte das paredes de tabique. No entanto, também é fundamental entender a forma como estes se interligam entre si e com os outros elementos estruturais principais dos edifícios, nomeadamente os pavimentos, a estrutura de cobertura e as paredes de alvenaria de pedra. Salienta-se aqui o importante papel dos ligadores metálicos na concretização dessas ligações. Estes ligadores metálicos apresentam distintas dimensões e formas consoante a sua função. Nesta dissertação pretende-se apresentar a investigação realizada em diversos edifícios do centro histórico de Viseu. Assim, pormenorizam-se diversas soluções construtivas encontradas, associam-se as formas e dimensões dos ligadores à sua função e apresentam se os resultados de uma campanha de ensaios laboratoriais realizados para definir algumas das suas propriedades físicas e químicas. O conhecimento obtido permite uma melhor compreensão do comportamento estrutural global destes edifícios e do papel das paredes de tabique nesse mesmo comportamento. No final, discutem-se os resultados e ensinamentos obtidos e apresentam-se recomendações para futuras obras de reabilitação realizadas neste tipo de edifícios. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: In Portugal the “tabique” walls are one of the oldest and most characteristic techniques of old building construction. In Viseu, the “tabique” walls are used with partition elements (most usual in Portugal), and as part of the main structure of the buildings since they have resistant characteristics. With the investigations already carried out, whose main objective was to know the mechanical properties of its constituent materials, it is also essential to understand how the “tabique” walls interconnect with each other and with the other main structural elements of the buildings, namely the floors and the stone masonry walls. According to their function, these metallic connectors have different dimensions and shapes. This work intend to show the research carried in several buildings in the historic centre of Viseu. For that purpose, several constructive solutions found are detailed, the shapes and dimensions of the metallic connectors are associated with their function and the results of a laboratory tests carried out to present some of their physical and chemical properties. The knowledge obtained allows a better understanding of the structural behaviour of these buildings and the role of the partition walls in this same behaviour. At the end, the results learned are discussed and recommendations for future rehabilitation works carried out in this type of buildings are presented. | pt_PT |
