Baseado em uma metodologia que articula o afrofuturismo e a abordagem crítica de Theresa Tensuan sobre os quadrinhos, a História em quadrinhos Magda – de Rafael Campos Rocha – é analisada numa perspectiva discutida por Marlucy Paraíso: como um texto cultural voltado para o lazer e o entretenimento, capaz de gerar comportamentos e orientar processos de subjetivação. Isto resulta na percepção da HQ como expressão cultural decolonial com características afrofuturistas, que atua sobre o imaginário em disputa nas narrativas gráficas contemporâneas
Based on a methodology that articulates Afrofuturism and Theresa Tensuan’s critical approach to comics, the comic book Magda – by Rafael Campos Rocha – is analyzed in a perspective discussed by Marlucy Paraíso: as a cultural text oriented to leisure and entertainment, capable of generating behaviors and guiding processes of subjectivation. This results in the perception of the comic as a decolonial cultural expression with Afrofuturist characteristics, which acts on the imaginary in dispute in contemporary graphic narratives.
