Abstract(s)
O enfermeiro de cuidados de saúde primários é responsável, também, pela intervenção com os doentes em cuidados paliativos, no sentido de atingirem e manterem o mais elevado potencial físico, psicológico, social e espiritual. Partindo da questão de investigação “Quais as necessidades dos enfermeiros no cuidado ao doente paliativo nos cuidados de saúde primários?” foi realizada uma revisão sistemática em dezembro de 2014, contemplando o período de 2011 – 2014, através da MEDLINE® with Full Text; PUBMED with Full Text; LILACS-EXPRESS with Full Text; Emergiram as categorias: os sentimentos dos enfermeiros, a importância da comunicação em cuidados paliativos, o método utilizado para tratamento de sintomas dos doentes, as necessidades dos enfermeiros que prestam estes cuidados, a relação entre as equipas multiprofissionais incluídas e até à iminência da morte/fase terminal dos doentes. Consideramos pertinente a comparação e consolidação de dados já existentes, permitindo assim melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados paliativos prestados.
Abstract: The nurse primary health care is highlight for intervention with patients in palliative care, in order to attain and maintain the highest physical, psychological, social and spiritual potential. Starting from the research question "What are the needs of nurses in palliative care to patients in primary health care" a systematic review was conducted in the period from 2011 to December 2014 by MEDLINE® with Full Text; PUBMED with Full Text; LILACS-EXPRESS with Full Text; Emerged as a result the feelings of nurses, the importance of communication in palliative care, the method used for treating symptoms of patients, the needs of nurses who provide this care, the relationship between the included multi-professional teams and to the imminence of death/phase terminal patients. We consider relevant the comparison and consolidation of existing data, thereby improving the quality of provided palliative care.
