Abstract(s)
Publicada postumamente, a coletânea de textos intitulada Ave, Palavra, de Guimarães Rosa, vem ganhando pouca atenção da crítica, sobretudo ao se considerar as contribuições que pode trazer aos estudos da obra daquele autor. Dentre os textos mais interessantes do volume, destaca-se a reportagem poética “Pé-duro, chapéu-de-couro”, em cujas páginas o autor procede, à sua maneira, a uma verdadeira gênese do vaqueiro sertanejo, imputando-lhe raízes a princípio improváveis. Com isso, Guimarães Rosa sugere vincular-se à tradição literária regionalista brasileira, destoando das vozes da crítica. Busca-se, neste artigo, dar uma parte da merecida atenção que aquela reportagem poética, um texto altamente complexo, não tem recebido.
Abstract Published posthumously, the collected writings entitled Ave, Palavra, by Guimarães Rosa, have received little attention from the critics, especially when one considers the contributions they may bring to studies about the author‟s work. Among the most interesting texts which the volume comprises, the poetic report “Pé duro, chapéu-de-couro” stands out, wherein Rosa carries out, in a personal way, the genesis of the Brazilian herdsman and identifies roots which, at first glance, would seem improbable. By doing so, Rosa connects his work to the Brazilian regionalist literary tradition, detaching himself from the voices of criticism. This essay aims at providing part of the deserved attention that Rosa‟s highly complex text has not been receiving.
