A literatura tem evidenciado os programas de treino como uma importante estratégia para o desenvolvimento das competências sociais. Estes programas destinam-se prioritariamente a proporcionar um conjunto de experiências que, não tendo ocorrido naturalmente ao longo do ciclo vital, torna-se necessário ensinar ou desenvolver.
O presente trabalho aborda a problemática dos comportamentos de risco nos adolescentes e a sua prevenção, sendo que o seu objetivo visou a implementação de um programa de Treino de Competências Sociais numa Associação do concelho de Viseu, com um grupo de jovens adolescentes, com idades compreendidas entre os quinze e os dezoito anos.
Antes e após a implementação do programa procedeu-se à aplicação de um questionário adaptado por Matos (2011), que permitiu avaliar a eficácia da implementação do programa. Os dados recolhidos foram analisados recorrendo ao programa estatístico Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS versão IBM 23).
Desta forma a frequência dos jovens neste programa contribuiu para a promoção das suas competências pessoais e sociais, proporcionando-lhes um desenvolvimento positivo nas relações que estabelecem com os outros e consigo próprio.
The literature has evidenced training programs as an important strategy for the development of social skills. These programs are primarily intended to provide a set of experiences which, while not naturally occurring throughout the life cycle, it becomes necessary to teach or to develop. The present study deals with the problem of risk behaviors in adolescents and their prevention, and its objective was to implement a Social Skills Training program in an Association of the municipality of Viseu, with a group of young adolescents, aged between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. Before and after the implementation of the program, a questionnaire adapted by Matos (2011) was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the program implementation. The collected data were analyzed using the statistical program Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 23 IBM).
