Abstract(s)
Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e analisar o nível de Responsabilidade Social das organizações sociais nos distritos de Braga e de Viseu, nas dimensões ambientais, sociais, económicas e institucionais. Os níveis de responsabilidade social foram obtidos através de um questionário enviado a 565 organizações sociais com forma jurídica de associação, centro social paroquial, fundação, instituição de organização religiosa e misericórdia, todas com o estatuto de Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social, registadas e/ou sediadas nestes distritos. Os resultados permitiram-nos concluir que as organizações sociais dos distritos de Braga e Viseu encontram-se sensibilizadas e atentas face à problemática da ética e da responsabilidade social nas suas organizações. Verificouse que em todas elas há uma crescente preocupação em melhorar continuamente na gestão institucional ou na redução do impacto ambiental, o que denota haver poder de iniciativa na sua implementação, sendo esta, contudo, de forma gradual, mas com a pretensão última de
um contributo significativo às comunidades dos respetivos distritos.

The results enabled us to conclude that the social organisations in the districts of Braga and Viseu are aware of and attentive to the issue of ethics and social responsibility in their organisations. It was found that all of them are increasingly concerned with continuously improving institutional management or reducing the environmental impact, which shows that they have the power of initiative in implementing them, though gradually, with the aim of making a significant contribution to the communities in the respective districts.
