Abstract Substance-induced psychotic disorder constitutes a complex challenge in mental health, associated with increased clinical instability and poorer functional and social outcomes. In this context, integrated and multidisciplinary approaches gain particular relevance, highlighting the role of the Specialist Nurse in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing in the assessment, intervention, and coordination of care. This report aims to document the training path and the activities carried out within the framework of the final internship, as well as to critically reflect on the clinical practice developed in two different settings (community mental health and acute inpatient care), evidencing the development of specialized competencies. The methodology included a narrative literature review, two qualitative case studies, and critical analysis of the clinical activities undertaken. The interventions implemented—Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, and Family Intervention—demonstrated positive outcomes in raising awareness, enhancing motivation, promoting clinical stability, and supporting psychosocial rehabilitation. These findings reinforce the importance of an integrated, person-centered approach in the recovery process of individuals with substance-induced psychosis. Keywords: Substance-induced psychosis; mental health and psychiatric nursing; Motivational interviewing; Psychoeducation; Family intervention.
