Abstract(s)
observação e a entrevista.
CAO clientes externos.
In this case study, we intend to know the perceptions that the direction, the technicians and the monitors, as well as the clients have in relation to the work that develops in a Center of Occupational Activities of Viseu. For the accomplishment of this case study, the researcher, external to the institution, used a variety of techniques of data collection: documentary research, observation and interview. Documentary research was used, in particular through the analysis of the annual activity plan and the CAO's internal regulations. An on-board logbook was drawn up which noted all the activities observed and the feedback from customers regarding them. Interviews were conducted with a member of management, CAO technicians and monitors, and clients. The joint analysis of the data obtained allowed us to conclude that the technical team is satisfied with the work done with the clients, although there are still some aspects regarding the functioning of the CAO that should be improved. All actors have a positive view of the work being done in the CAO, although they agree that there are aspects that need to be improved, particularly with regard to the need to diversify occupational activities. In addition, it is important to bet on the hiring of more technicians and monitors, as well as motivating the technicians not to be discouraged by the difficulties they face. Last, but not least, it would be an asset to accept CAO external customers.
