Este estudo realizou-se na Brose, empresa de componentes mecatrónicos para a
indústria automóvel, motivado pela falta de capacidade para efetuar todas as auditorias
ao produto, acordadas com o cliente Ford, dentro da 8 horas disponíveis por turno.
O Lean Six-Sigma é uma metodologia que fornece um conjunto de métodos, que
possibilitam a redução das variações do processo, eliminação de desperdícios e redução
dos tempos de entrega. Uma das metodologias mais utilizadas para a redução de
problemas e melhoria contínua é a estrutura DMAIC.
Em função da dificuldade de cumprimento do plano de controlo, acordado com o
cliente, pretende-se uma redução do tempo das auditorias ao produto, utilizando a
metodologia SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), aplicada às diferentes fases da
estrutura DMAIC, na ordem do 20%.
