| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo pretende analisar o complexo universo da casa corrente, entre os séculos XVI e XVIII, apresentando como estudo de caso a cidade de Viseu e a análise, qualitativa e quantitativa, dos Prazos do Cabido, e confrontando a realidade local com os dados conhecidos para o panorama nacional. A designação «casa corrente» pretende agrupar, sob uma mesma denominação, realidades habitacionais e sociais sem dúvida diversas, mas que escapam ao universo da casa nobre, percentualmente menos representativo mas mais estudado. | dc.description.abstract | : The following article proposes to analyse the complex universe of the «common house», between the 16th and 18th centuries, focusing in the city of Viseu as a study case and the quantitative and qualitative treatment of the Prazos do Cabido (Religious property housing contracts), as well as confronting the presented reality with the national context. The term «common house» intends to group together, under the same designation, social and housing existences that, although diverse, cannot be integrated within the noble house definition – a less representative and yet better analysed reality. Shaped throughout the reference period by social paradigms shifts, the «common house» may be formally characterized by its relatively reduced implantation dimensions and substancial expression in terms of height as well as the precarity of the building materials. | pt_PT |
