Abstract(s)
agentes educativos.
Abstract Background: School environment is conducive to accidents, because it is where a large number of children and young people interact, developing various activities, eager to explore the world. In an analysis of loss ratio by students enrolled and school year observed that in the school year 2009/2010 the loss ratio was 3.91%, and 4.49% in the following school years. It is the third cycle of the EB that most accidents happen, and fall and crash in physical education class the most common type and place. In the total of the twelve participants in the qualitative study (Study 2), only two perception accidents in school as a frequent event. Conclusions: The cooperation of healthcare, particularly of primary health care, with the school as part of primary prevention of accidents in school space (measures that prevent the occurrence of accidents or that reduce the transfer of energy to the victim) and secondary (measures that reduce severity of injury, that is, those involving care for the victim) should be improved. Key-words: Accidents at school; accident prevention; perception of educators.
