A Inteligência Artificial tornou-se uma presença constante no mundo atual, está em quase todas as áreas criativas, e o cinema não é exceção. Nos últimos anos, a produção cinematográfica foi obrigada a adaptar-se, particularmente na fase de pós-produção, onde contribui para a automatização de processos e para a transformação dos fluxos de trabalho tradicionais. O desenvolvimento recente de técnicas de deep learning e, em especial, de modelos de Inteligência Artificial Generativa, tem ampliado as possibilidades de análise, manipulação e criação de conteúdos audiovisuais, aproximando estas tecnologias de processos criativos tradicionalmente associados à intervenção humana. Esta investigação tem como objetivo analisar de que forma a inteligência artificial tem sido aplicada nos processos de pós-produção cinematográfica, com base na literatura científica publicada entre 2020 e 2025, identificando as principais áreas de aplicação, benefícios, limitações e impactos nos processos criativos e técnicos. A metodologia adotada segue o protocolo PRISMA, com base em critérios de inclusão e exclusão previamente definidos e na análise de artigos científicos provenientes de bases de dados académicas. Esta abordagem permite uma sistematização rigorosa da evidência disponível e a identificação de padrões e tendências no estado da arte. Os resultados evidenciam uma utilização crescente da Inteligência Artificial Generativa em tarefas técnicas e operacionais da pós-produção, com especial incidência na automatização de processos e na melhoria da eficiência dos workflows. No entanto, a análise dos 17 estudos incluídos revela que a intervenção humana continua a ser essencial nas decisões criativas e narrativas.
Artificial Intelligence has become a constant presence in today’s world, extending across a wide range of creative fields, with cinema being no exception. In recent years, film production has been required to adapt, particularly in the postproduction phase, where AI contributes to the automation of processes and the transformation of traditional workflows. The recent development of deep learning techniques, especially generative artificial intelligence models, has expanded the possibilities for the analysis, manipulation, and creation of audiovisual content, bringing these technologies closer to creative processes traditionally associated with human intervention. This study aims to analyse how artificial intelligence has been applied in film post-production processes, based on scientific literature published between 2020 and 2025, identifying the main areas of application, as well as the benefits, limitations, and impacts on both creative and technical processes. The methodology follows the PRISMA protocol, based on previously defined inclusion and exclusion criteria and the analysis of scientific articles retrieved from academic databases. This approach enables a rigorous systematisation of the available evidence and the identification of patterns and trends within the state of the art. The results indicate a growing use of artificial intelligence in technical and operational post-production tasks, particularly in process automation and workflows. However, analysis of the 17 included studies reveals that human intervention remains essential in creative and narrative decisions
