Abstract(s)
O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito do mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e encontra-se dividido em duas partes. Na primeira parte foi realizada uma reflexão crítica sobre as práticas no contexto de educação pré-escolar e no contexto do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico, que inclui uma breve contextualização dos estágios desenvolvidos e uma apreciação crítica das competências desenvolvidas nesses contextos e tem como principal objetivo promover a construção de conhecimento profissional e o desenvolvimento das competências de ação e relação necessárias ao desempenho docente. A segunda parte relata uma trabalho de investigação, que é centrado na contribuição da utilização de materiais didáticos para a aprendizagem dos alunos do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico a nível da matemática. Este trabalho de investigação seguiu uma metodologia qualitativa e tem como principais objetivos identificar as dificuldades dos alunos relativamente à área da matemática, caracterizar o modo como os alunos se envolvem em tarefas que impliquem a utilização de materiais didáticos, identificar o impacto da utilização de materiais didáticos nas aprendizagens dos alunos e verificar a reação dos alunos relativamente à utilização de materiais didáticos associados à matemática. As conclusões principais deste trabalho de investigação são que a utilização de materiais didáticos na sala de aula contribui de forma positiva para a aprendizagem dos alunos a nível da matemática, uma vez que se apresentam como um fator de motivação e interesse que lhes permitem construir conhecimentos significativos de forma lúdica, dinâmica e desafiante.
This report was carried out in the framework of the master’s degree in Pre-School Education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education and is divided into two parts. In the first part, a critical reflection was carried out on the practices in the context of preschool education and in the context of the 1st cycle of basic education, which includes a brief contextualization of the stages developed and a critical assessment of the competencies developed in these contexts and has as main objective to promote the construction of professional knowledge and the development of the skills of action and relationship necessary for the teaching performance. The second part reports a research work, which is focused on the contribution of the use of didactic materials to the learning of students of the 1st cycle of basic education in mathematics. This research work followed a qualitative methodology and has as main objectives to identify the difficulties of students in the area of mathematics, characterize how students engage in tasks that involve the use of teaching materials, identify the impact of the use of teaching materials in students' learning and verify the students' reaction to the use of teaching materials associated with mathematics. The main conclusions of this research work are that the use of teaching materials in the classroom contributes positively to students' learning in mathematics, since they are a motivation and interest factor that allow them to build meaningful knowledge in a playful, dynamic and challenging way.
