Abstract(s)
This final internship report includes a critical reflection on the practices developed in the context of Pre-School Education and Primary Education of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, focusing on the learning developed during the Supervised Teaching Practices (PES) of the Master's degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. This includes a study developed in the context of Preschool Education, which aimed to analyze several moments of play with the potentialities of Algorithmic Thinking, reflecting on its importance for the learning and development of children. The study was conducted qualitatively, using observation in children, through the levels of implication and well-being. This was developed with a group of children aged between 3 and 6 years of age. Regarding the acquired data, it is important to realize that algorithmic thinking is present in children's lives and, when stimulated it provides a more creative learning and development, allowing the child to solve their problems. For this reason, play is the most significant means, because the child gains awareness of himself and others, acquires and develops his interests, decision-making, problem solving, leaving his comfort zone, becoming autonomous and expressing and developing curiosity and creativity. The analysis of the observations allowed us to realize that we should let the child explore each context autonomously, giving them tools to help them in their learning and development.
