Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: In an industrial unit, in order to create a management system that pursues objectives of excellence, it is fundamental and necessary to define a set of systematized procedures that support and monitor the regular functioning of the equipment, as an integral part of the respective production systems. The quality of the information collected on a daily basis and in a reliable way, is assumed as essential in the treatment of the data obtained, and the reporting made by the Maintenance Department may allow putting in practice and ensure the best strategies leading to obtaining high productivity rates. In this context, maintenance management encompasses a whole set of activities that are precursors to the pre-defined objectives and strategies in each company, and the respective operations result from the implementation of specific methodologies, such as planning, control and supervision, always associated with a permanent improvement of the organizational processes, which are reflected in the economic and security aspects. The present work intends to design the implementation of Maintenance Management "tools", leading to a better control of the corrective actions in each equipment and to the application of an effective preventive plan, determinants in the operability of the resources and in the control of spare parts. It also intends to give indications about practices of continuous improvement that, when paralleled with training actions, allow the achievement of cost reduction and an evolution in safety levels and working conditions.
