Este ensaio pretende refletir sobre o imaginário e representação do Brasil em Leonardo Coimbra, problematizando, por um lado, esta área de estudo, que nas últimas décadas tem testemunhado um impulso considerável, e, por outro lado, aprofundar as efetivas relações culturais do autor com a intelectualidade
brasileira. O pensador da Renascença Portuguesa constrói uma hermenêutica utópica das terras de Vera Cruz, na sua configuração geográfica, histórica e social ao mesmo tempo que contribui, como agente cultural, para uma efetiva aproximação luso-brasileira.
This essay intends to reflect on the imaginary and representation of Brazil in Leonardo Coimbra, problematizing, on the one hand, this area of study, which in the last decades has witnessed a considerable impulse, and, on the other hand, to deepen the author 's effective cultural relations with the Brazilian intelligentsia. The Renascença Portuguesa’s thinker constructs a utopian hermeneutics of the lands of Vera Cruz, in its geographic, historical and social configuration, while contributing, as a cultural agent, to an effective PortugueseBrazilian approach.
