Abstract(s)
destas tecnologias.
The fourth “phase” of industrial evolution, also known as Industry 4.0, has been transforming the way internal and external business processes and relationships are structured. Through the increasingly intrinsic use of technologies that integrate the virtual and real worlds, companies have been striving to improve their efficiency and enhance their competitiveness in the market. In this context of Industry 4.0 technology application, companies have been seeking to integrate and adapt various internal and even external sectors to the tools available in the market. In this trend, the supply chain, particularly the associated logistics, plays a fundamental strategic role in the performance and improvement of companies that adopt Industry 4.0 technologies. The logistics sector has been undergoing progressive digitalization in recent years through the implementation of technologies that combine Industry 4.0 tools (IoT, AI, big data), enabling greater efficiency and effectiveness in processes. Within these platforms and applications, concepts such as omnichannel, voice picking, cloud computing, and blockchain have radically changed the way supply chain management is conducted. With the dematerialization of processes and their migration to digital, the logistics sector achieves greater agility, interconnection, higher productivity, and consequently, more competitive advantages. This study aims to conduct a survey and analysis of Industry 4.0, its currently applicable, tools and technologies, particularly those related to the logistics sector of companies, thus substantiating the concept of Logistics 4.0. Additionally, it seeks to assess the extent to which companies located in the central region of Portugal, specifically in the Dão-Lafões sub-region, are positioned in terms of implementation and maturity in utilizing these technologies.
