This dissertation presents a study on the concepts of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Religious Tourism, Event Management, and Cultural Exchange, aiming to assess the feasibility of establishing a cultural exchange between the cities of Paraty, in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and Lamego, in the district of Viseu (Portugal). Both cities are located in regions recognized as World Heritage Sites and share devotion to the same patron saint, Our Lady of Remedies. The project proposes the creation of a joint celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Remedies, in an interactive and online format, integrating the official calendars and highlighting the traditions and cultural expressions of both communities. The initiative seeks to foster the exchange of experiences between two cultures deeply connected by faith, promoting cultural and touristic cooperation between Brazil and Portugal. Based on historical, cultural, and economic data, the study analyzes how this exchange can strengthen cultural ties, promote religious tourism, and preserve intangible heritage. A quantitative approach was adopted through the application of a questionnaire during the Feasts of Our Lady of Remedies in 2024, held between August 22 and September 9 in both cities. The results indicate a highly positive evaluation from the participants, showing strong appreciation of the event and acceptance of new technologies as a tool for cultural integration. The study concludes that the cultural exchange between Paraty and Lamego is feasible, especially in terms of religious tourism and cultural preservation, although some logistical challenges must still be overcome for its full implementation.
