Abstract(s)
O último capítulo visa apresentar as conclusões do estudo,
This project aims to analyze the digital communication of major sporting events and sports events worldwide, making a comparison with three other events at national level. It is intended to suggest a communication project, indicating a set of indicators to be worked on the websites of sports event organizations, as well as to understand how digital communication is used and how it contributes to the improvement and effectiveness of the organization of the same. This project is divided into five chapters: introduction, literature review, methodology, results analysis and conclusion. In the first chapter, in the introduction, the pertinence of the study as well as the state of the art of the subject is mentioned. The second chapter focuses on the main theoretical concepts in study, communication, digital communication, sporting events and the organization of sporting events. In the third chapter, a web-based analysis grid of sports event organizations, based on state of the art and literature review, is proposed. In this chapter, it is also described the methodology used in the empirical study, the methods of data collection and analysis and the sample used. In the fourth chapter the data of the results of the application of the proposed analysis grid are presented. The last chapter aims to present the conclusions of the study, discussing the results and presenting suggestions for future research. The data analysis shows that there has been an evolution in the dissemination of content on the websites of sports event organizations. The analyzed websites favor the dissemination of informative contents about past, present and future events. There are, however, missing contents, namely with regard to the organization of the event. This study makes a contribution to the academy and to the digital communication of the entities responsible for the organization of sporting events.
