Resumo
O presente estudo diz respeito à crescente preocupação relativamente ao comportamento
sexual dos adolescentes, bem como à percepção existente sobre as doenças
sexualmente transmissíveis perante os adolescentes e a comunidade educativa. Torna-se
assim importante perceber de que forma a comunidade educativa exerce influência sobre
os adolescentes na forma como percepcionam as doenças sexualmente transmissíveis,
essencialmente ao nível relacional e das interacções pessoais.
Após a análise dos resultados obtidos, verificou-se a influência da comunidade educativa
na percepção que os adolescentes possuem acerca da temática, essencialmente nos
adolescentes que possuem um bom ambiente socioprofissional familiar e que despendem
tempo diário com os seus tutores. Constatou-se que, apesar do meio escolar exercer
também uma forte influência perante os adolescentes, esta limita-se essencialmente ao
papel do professor, que num âmbito lectivo, exerce a sua influência através dos
conteúdos abordados nas diferentes disciplinas. Pretende-se que o presente estudo
possibilite investigações futuras acerca da temática.
Abstract The purpose of this study is related to the growing concern about the sexual behavior of adolescents, as well of the perception about sexual transmitted diseases in adolescents and the educative community. It thus becomes important to understand how the educational community influences the way adolescents perceive sexually transmitted diseases, with a focus on relational and personal interactions. After analyzing the results, it was confirmed the influence of the educational community in the perception that adolescents have about the subject, mainly in adolescents who have a good family environment and spend time daily with their tutors. It was found that although the school also exert a strong influence with adolescents, this is essentially limited to the role of the teacher, who in a school context, exerts its influence through the content covered in the different disciplines. It is intended that the present study enables future research on the subject.
