Utilização de casos multimédia na formação matemática de professores do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico: impacto no conhecimento e prática de ensino supervisionada

dc.description.abstractThis paper is based on a study conducted during initial teacher training in the early years of schooling in the context of an educational experience based on using a multimedia case titled “Cubes with stickers”. The goal of the research is to understand the influence of the participation in this educational experience in the knowledge and practice of inquiry-based teaching of preservice teachers who teach mathematics to the early years (1st to 4th grade). This article presents data from a group of three prospective teachers, corresponding to their group of professional internship (which took place in parallel with the experience). The data comes from records collected in the exploration of multimedia case, participant observation and audio recording of the educational experience, the observation of a 3rd grade lesson and three interviews. The study results indicate a good acceptance of the multimedia case by the prospective teachers and good coordination with the supervised teaching practice, which allowed the prospective teachers the construction of an expanded view of what is inquiry-based mathematics teaching and adopt an appropriate classroom pratice.por
