A energia solar e a sustentabilidade na terra : proposta de intervenção no 1º ciclo do ensino básico

| dc.description.abstract | Advogando a importância de que o ensino das ciências deve ser implementado desde tenra idade e tendo em conta todas as vantagens daí decorrentes, os objetivos fundamentais desta investigação consistiram em: i) verificar, em crianças do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, o desenvolvimento da compreensão de conceitos científicos sobre a temática energia solar e sustentabilidade da Terra, através da realização de trabalho prático investigativo; ii) contribuir para a promoção de aprendizagens significativas em outras áreas curriculares para além de Estudo do Meio e iii) promover atitudes favoráveis ao processo educativo em ciência em contexto formal. A metodologia utilizada foi tendencialmente de natureza qualitativa, uma investigação-ação, na qual o investigador se envolveu ativamente assumindo o papel de participante e observador. O estudo decorreu entre janeiro e junho de 2013 numa turma do 3º ano de escolaridade, composta por 24 crianças, de uma escola urbana do concelho de Viseu. Apesar de contínua, a recolha de dados registou-se em três momentos distintos: pré-teste, implementação das atividades e pós-teste. O investigador recorreu a várias técnicas e diversos instrumentos para a recolha de dados: inquérito semiestruturado, entrevista semiestruturada, observação participante, registos áudio e vídeo e trabalhos elaborados pelos alunos. A análise e interpretação dos dados recolhidos permitiram concluir que os alunos desenvolveram a compreensão de conceitos científicos sobre a temática energia solar e sustentabilidade na Terra, através da implementação de atividades de trabalho prático investigativo. Concomitantemente, percecionou-se o envolvimento ativo dos alunos no seu processo de aprendizagem e a prossecução dos objetivos em outras áreas curriculares, promovendo-se assim atitudes favoráveis ao processo educativo nos alunos de uma forma geral. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Advocating the importance that science education should be implemented at an early age and taking all its inherent advantages into account, the fundamental objectives of this research were: i) to examine the development of understanding scientific concepts on the topic solar energy and sustainability of the Earth in children in primary education through practical research work; ii) to contribute to promoting meaningful learning in other curricular areas besides environmental studies and iii) to promote favourable attitudes towards science education in a formal context. The methodology tended to be qualitative in nature, action-research, in which the researcher was actively involved and assumed the role of participant and observer. The study took place between January and June 2013 in a 3rd year class, composed of 24 children attending an urban school in the municipality of Viseu. Despite being on-going, data collection was recorded at three distinct times: pre-test, during activity implementation and post-test. The researcher used a variety of techniques and tools for to collect data: a semi-structured survey, semi-structured interviews, participant observation, audio and video recordings and assignments done by students. Analysis and interpretation of the data collected showed that the students developed an understanding of scientific concepts regarding solar energy and the sustainability of Earth, through the implementation of practical research activities. Simultaneously, active involvement of students in their own learning process was observed and objectives in other curricular areas were achieved, thus promoting favourable attitudes by students in the learning process in general. | por |
