Abstract(s)
O presente estudo procura analisar a vulnerabilidade das direções na gestão das
Organizações Sociais. Especificamente, este trabalho pretende caracterizar as direções na
gestão das Organizações Sociais, percecionar a gestão dessas organizações e, ainda,
entender qual a visão das direções sobre a adoção de estratégias no âmbito da gestão.
Adicionalmente, caracteriza-se a cultura organizacional, bem como a sua identidade.
Optamos por métodos qualitativos e empregamos a metodologia associada à análise de
conteúdo para analisar as informações recolhidas de uma amostra de diretores das
Organizações Sociais de Vila Nova de Foz Côa, nomeadamente, Estruturas Residenciais
para Pessoas Idosas, com o objetivo de analisar as vulnerabilidades das direções na gestão
destas Organizações Sociais.
Os resultados do estudo de caso confirmam em parte o previsto na teoria, ou seja, as
Organizações Sociais deparam-se, na atualidade, com diversos desafios sendo fundamental
a adoção de estratégias com o intuito de superar esses mesmos desafios. O que se constata
é que, embora os diretores ambicionem uma prestação de serviços eficiente e eficaz, são
diversos os desafios impostos às direções, apelando-se à adequação/melhoria da gestão nas
Organizações Sociais.
Corroborando a literatura, com o presente estudo podemos constatar que as direções das
Organizações Sociais consideram que o aumento da concorrência, a contratação e
profissionalização dos Recursos Humanos, a sustentabilidade, a concretização de parcerias
e a diversificação das fontes de financiamento apresentam-se como as suas maiores
vulnerabilidades. Assim, em termos práticos, as direções deverão procurar soluções para
enfrentar a complexidade que envolve a gestão de todos os processos organizacionais
atestando-se que são grandes os desafios e as exigências de preparação, planeamento e
organização de todos os recursos. O que se tem verificado é a adoção de um planeamento
estratégico em diferentes níveis e graus de eficácia condicentes que procuram colmatar as
necessidades das organizações.
The present study seeks to analyse the vulnerability of Social Organisation in the management directions. Specifically, the objective is to characterise the management of Social Organisations, to perceive the management of these organisations and also to understand the direction within the scope of management. Additionally, the organisational culture is characterised, as well as its identity. We opted for qualitative methods and used the methodology associated to the content analysis to analyse the information collected from a sample of directors of the Social Organisations of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, namely, Residential Structures for Old People, with the objective of analysing the vulnerabilities of the directions in the management of these Social Organisations. The results of the case study confirm in part what is predicted in theory, that is, Social Organisations are currently faced with several challenges and it is fundamental to adopt strategies in order to overcome these same challenges. What is clear is that, although the directors aim for an efficient and effective service delivery, there are several challenges imposed on the directorates, appealing to the adequacy / improvement in the Social Organisations management. Corroborating the literature, with the present study we can see that the Social Organisations' management considers that increased competition, the hiring and professionalisation of Human Resources, sustainability’s, partnerships and the diversification of funding sources are presented as the their greatest vulnerabilities. Thus, in practical terms, the directions should seek solutions to face the complexity that involves the management of all the organisational processes attesting that the challenges and the requirements of preparation, planning and organisation of all resources are great. Which is possible to verify is the adoption of strategic planning at different levels and of effectiveness that seek to meet the organisation needs.
