dc.description.abstractEnquadramento: No Estágio com Relatório Final preconiza-se desenvolver competências inerentes ao grau de mestre em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna, Obstetrícia e Ginecologia e ao Curso de Pós-Licenciatura de Especialização em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica , e ainda incluir uma componente de investigação. Esta, no presente estudo, surgiu da análise reflexiva e revisão de literatura, pela perceção de que o contacto pele com pele pai-bebé tinha pouco impacto na prática clínica, e a literatura mostrar vários benefícios associados ao mesmo. Objetivo: Na componente de estágio - formar mestres em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica, capazes de conceber, planear, executar e avaliar intervenções tendentes à promoção da saúde reprodutiva, bem como prestar cuidados de enfermagem especializados nas diferentes áreas específicas de intervenção de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica. No estudo empírico - Compreender qual o significado atribuído pelo pai ao contacto pele com pele com o bebé. Metodologia: Descrição e reflexão da prática com base nas competências do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem de saúde materna e obstétrica e na Teoria das Transições de Afaf Meleis, como referencial teórico. A componente de investigação trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, método fenomenológico-hermenêutico, com recurso a entrevista fenomenológica, orientada à experiência vivida, por 10 participantes no contacto pele com pele pai-bebé, tendo essa experiência ocorrido até dois anos. Resultados: Na componente clínica foram adquiridas as competências e experiências mínimas exigidas nas diretivas europeias para este tipo de formação. Do estudo empírico emergiram seis categorias em que se compreende o significado atribuído pelo pai ao contacto pele com pele, nomeadamente: Significado atribuído ao contacto pele com pele; Motivos para o pai experienciar o contacto pele com pele; Intervenções dos enfermeiros promotoras do contacto pele com pele; Sentimentos vividos pelo pai durante o contacto pele com pele; Desafios vividos pelo pai no contacto pele com pele; Significado atribuído às intervenções dos enfermeiros. Conclusão: O estágio permitiu o desenvolvimento de competências, inerentes ao cuidado especializado em enfermagem de saúde materna e obstétrica. A investigação sobre o contacto pele com pele pai-bebé, foi importante para compreender o significado atribuído pelo pai, os seus benefícios e o papel fundamental do enfermeiro especialista na sua promoção. dc.description.abstractAbstract Background: The Internship with Final Report aims to develop competences inherent to the master's degree in Maternal Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing and the Postgraduate Specialisation Course in Maternal Health and Obstetrics Nursing, including being able to design, plan, execute and evaluate interventions aimed at promoting reproductive health, as well as providing specialised nursing care in the different specific areas of intervention and also including a research component. In this study, the research component arose from a reflective analysis and review of the literature, due to the realisation that father-baby skin-to skin contact had little impact on clinical practice, and that the literature shows various benefits associated with it. Objectives: In the internship component - to train masters in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, capable of designing, planning, executing and evaluating interventions aimed at promoting reproductive health, as well as providing specialised nursing care in the different specific areas of Maternal and Obstetric Health intervention. In the empirical study - To understand the meaning attributed by fathers to skin-to-skin contact with their babies. Methodology: Description and reflection of practice based on the competences of nurses specialising in maternal health and obstetric nursing and on Afaf Meleis' Transitions Theory as a theoretical reference. The research component is a qualitative study, using the phenomenological-hermeneutic method, using phenomenological interviews, orientated towards the lived experience of 10 participants in skin-to-skin parent-baby contact, with this experience having occurred up to two years previously. Results: In the clinical component, the minimum competences and experiences required in the European directives for this type of training were acquired. From the empirical study, six categories emerged in which the meaning attributed by fathers to skin-to-skin contact is understood, namely: Meaning attributed to skin-to-skin contact; Reasons for fathers to experience skin-to-skin contact; Interventions by nurses to promote skin-to-skin contact; Feelings experienced by fathers during skin-to-skin contact; Challenges experienced by fathers during skin-to-skin contact; Meaning attributed to nurses' interventions. Conclusion: The internship enabled me to develop the skills inherent in specialised maternal health and obstetric nursing care. Research into father-baby skin-to-skin contact was important for understanding the meaning attributed to it by the father, its benefits and the fundamental role of the specialised nurse in promoting it.
