Abstract(s)
melhoria continua naquela seção e, consequentemente, aumentar a produtividade.
desempenho do processo produtivo.
When a process relies on machinery to obtain a specific type of product, the efficiency of a section or company can be evaluated by calculating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) focuses on improving the three main components of OEE—performance, availability, and quality—which serve as benchmarks for potential future improvements. This internship was carried out as part of the Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management. The project took place in an industrial environment at Ara Shoes Portuguesa, specifically in the injection-to-cutting section. The main objective of the work was to implement an OEE study and, with the support of Lean tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the PDCA cycle, initiate a process of continuous improvement in this section and consequently increase productivity. The primary focus was on observing processes, organizing the workspace, introducing documentation for OEE analysis, and training employees. The calculation of OEE allowed for the identification of the influence of each of its indicators on the performance of the production process. Upon completion of the project, it is possible to state that the objectives and tasks proposed to the company were successfully achieved. However, there remains significant room for further progress.
