Abstract(s)
desenvolvimento do sistema.
e ferragens existentes, permitem verificar a correta funcionalidade e compatibilidade
ABSTRAC: The current situation, at the most varied levels, both nationally and internationally, has led companies from the most varied areas to look for new ways to remain competitive and efficient. This project, within the context of a company that distributes aluminum profiles for frames, ALEDI – Comércio de Alumínios, Lda., intends to develop from one of the several existing products, a new aluminum casement window system with thermal break that is in line with the latest advances and demands of the sector, while allowing the company to consolidate its current position in the market and have, for the first time, an exclusive product. The increase in the offer, on the part of the competition, of systems that are increasingly varied in terms of width measurements, forces the reduction of increments between the measurements of existing products. Thus, it is not just about developing a system similar to the existing ones, but rather to develop a system that occupies a specific position in the market. The work begins with researching products already on the market, evaluating the conditionings of laws and regulations and the available manufacturing processes, to obtain the basic structure and the list of critical points to be addressed in the development of the system. The survey is complemented with an approach to the company's technical and commercial departments, under the scrutiny of its management, to confirm and outline which critical points need improvement or change in the new system design. It is consequently defined that the design of the new profiles will be focused on improving the drainage channel in order to prevent possible water infiltrations and correct problems already evident in the current systems. The project is made practical through the sketch and subsequent technical drawing of the new profiles and analysis of compatibility with the intended types of windows, existing standardized and certified hardware accessories and with the assembly methods available to the company's customers. It is therefore decided that the creation of the new profiles should then be based on the most sold system by the company, from which a new one with greater base width will be developed. The increase in the width of the system allows, in addition to the total remodeling of the drainage channels, an increase in the measurement of the tightening joint boxes and their width, an action that makes it possible to strengthen the joints of the window frames. It is also a consequence of the said increase in the width of the profiles, the need to use another polyamide format and a new central seal. Once the final design of the necessary profiles is concluded and internally approved, the development and production of the dies is carried out externally by the extrusion company. These make it possible to obtain, in the form of aluminum bars, the developed profiles, which are then subject to analysis and verification of their dimensions by comparison with their technical drawings. The lacquering and mechanical crimping of the profiles, and their subsequent assembly with the existing hardware accessories, make it possible to verify the correct functionality and compatibility of the profiles, taking the project to its conclusion and obtaining a new system.
