Cultura organizacional da famĂlia e sexualidade na adolescĂȘncia

| dc.description.abstract | Enquadramento: A adolescĂȘncia Ă© uma etapa da vida que se caracteriza pela progressiva aquisição de autonomia e mudanças nas relaçÔes familiares, mas tambĂ©m muitas vezes por imaturidade emocional e susceptibilidade Ă influĂȘncia de pares que facilmente podem resultar na adoção de comportamentos e atitudes considerados de risco para a sua integridade. Objectivos: Analisar as relaçÔes entre as variĂĄveis sociodemogrĂĄficas e de contexto sexual, a cultura organizacional da famĂlia e as atitudes adotadas pelos adolescentes face a sexualidade. MĂ©todo: Estudo observacional descritivo correlacional, efetuado em corte transversal. A amostra nĂŁo probabilĂstica de 1216 adolescentes que frequentam o 9Âș ano em escolas pĂșblicas do interior centro de Portugal realizado no Ăąmbito do projecto MISIJ âFCTFPTDC/ CPE-CED/103313/2008. Foi aplicado o questionĂĄrio sobre a caraterização sociodemogrĂĄfica e de contexto sexual; o inventĂĄrio da cultura organizacional da famĂlia de Nave (2007) e a escala de atitudes face Ă sexualidade de Nelas et al (2010). Resultados: A maioria (54.77%) Ă© do sexo feminino e (45.23%) do sexo masculino, entre 14 e 18 anos. A mĂ©dia de idades foi de 14.69 anos; a maioria reside em aldeia (48.8%). 12.6% jĂĄ iniciaram relaçÔes sexuais; entre os 10 e os 18 anos com mĂ©dia de 13,83 anos, os rapazes (15.1%) mais do que as raparigas (10.5%). Dos que fazem contraceção 39.4% sĂŁo do sexo feminino e 60.6 % sĂŁo do sexo masculino; 12,9% os rapazes nĂŁo utilizam o preservativo em todas as relaçÔes, e o mesmo se verifica para 17,8% das raparigas. A maioria (48.1%) apresenta atitudes favorĂĄveis face Ă sexualidade e 24.9% revelou atitudes desfavorĂĄveis. Os rapazes (53.7%) apresentam atitudes mais favorĂĄveis face Ă sexualidade no global do que as raparigas (46.3%), (X2=36.348, p=0.000 Existem diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre o sexo (p=0.000), a idade (p=0.004), a cultura organizacional da famĂlia (p<0.005), o diĂĄlogo sobre sexualidade com professores (p=0.000), com profissionais de saĂșde (p=0.000), e as atitudes dos adolescentes face Ă sexualidade. ConclusĂŁo: FamĂlia e sociedade devem assumir a importĂąncia da sexualidade como factor de equilĂbrio do ser humano ao longo da vida e criar modelos de saĂșde e espaços de confiança que sustentem a educação sexual das crianças e adolescentes, tornando-os mais empoderados, saudĂĄveis e felizes. | dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT Background: Adolescence is a stage of life characterized by the progressive acquisition of autonomy and changes in family relationships, but also often by emotional immaturity and susceptibility to peer influence that can easily result in the adoption of behaviors and attitudes considered a risk for adolescentsâ integrity. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between sociodemographic variables, of sexual context and organizational culture of the family and the attitudes adopted by adolescents facing sexuality. Method: Observational descriptive and correlational, transversal study. The non-probabilistic convenience sample consists of 1216 adolescents attending the 9th year of study in public schools in the inner center of Portugal and is part of the project MISIJ -FCTF-PTDC/CPECED/ 103313/2008. The questionnaire applied was on sociodemographic characterization and sexual context, the family organizational culture of Nave (2007) and the scale of attitudes towards sexuality of Nelas et al (2010). Results: The majority (54.77%) are female and (45.23%) male, between 14 and 18 years. The average age was 14.69 years, they mostly reside in village (48.8%). 12.6% have initiated sex relations; between 10 and 18 years with an average of 13.83 years, boys (15.1%) more than girls (10.5%). Those who use contraception 39.4% are female and 60.6% were male; 12.9% boys do not use condoms in all relationships, and the same applies to 17.8% of girls. The majority (48.1%) had favorable attitudes towards sexuality and 24.9% showed unfavorable attitudes. Boys (53.7%) have more favorable attitudes towards sexuality in global than girls (46.3%) (X2 = 36,348, p = 0.000). There are statistically significant differences between sex (p=0.000), age (p=0.004), family organizational culture(p<0.005), speaking about sexuality with teachers (p=0.000), with health professionals (p=0.000) and attitudes of adolescents towards sexuality. Conclusion: Family and society should take the importance of sexuality as a balancing factor of human beings throughout life and create health models and spaces of trust to support sex education for children and adolescents, making them more empowered, healthy and happy.
