Abstract(s)
Introdução: O presente relatório é o culminar de todo o percurso desenvolvido durante o Curso de Pós-Licenciatura e Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica da Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu. Através da realização de estágios em contexto de urgência e cuidados intensivos foi-me possível desenvolver as minhas capacidades humanas, comunicacionais e técnicas, sustentando as minhas intervenções na melhor evidência científica possível, prestando cuidados de enfermagem de excelência.
Objetivo: Realizar uma análise reflexiva dos estágios desenvolvidos e mapear os cuidados de enfermagem na inserção, manutenção e remoção do cateter venoso central de inserção periférica.
Métodos: Este trabalho foi elaborado em duas partes. Na parte I foi realizada uma análise reflexiva às atividades desenvolvidas em cada um dos estágios, tendo como base as competências comuns e específicas do enfermeiro especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica. Na parte II consta, em formato de artigo, a componente de investigação: Cuidados de enfermagem na inserção, manutenção e remoção do cateter venoso central de inserção periférica- revisão scoping
Resultados: os estágios permitiram-me desenvolver competências nas diversas áreas, cimentando os conhecimentos previamente adquiridos. A componente de investigação permitiu desenvolver capacidades de pesquisa e síntese.
Conclusão: a realização dos estágios permitiu melhorar a minha prática clínica, prestando cuidados mais especializados. A elaboração da componente de investigação permitiu identificar as intervenções de enfermagem, no que diz respeito ao cateter venoso central de inserção periférica, que permitem uma melhoria dos cuidados. Também se constatou a falta de estudos em doentes adultos, sendo a maioria dos estudos na população pediátrica.

Abstract Introduction: This report is the culminate of the entire course developed during the Post-Graduation Course and Master's Degree in Medical Surgical Nursing of the Viseu School of Health. Through the realization of internships in the context of urgency and intensive care it was possible for me to develop my human, communicational and technical skills, sustaining my interventions in the best possible scientific evidence, providing nursing care of excellency. Aim: Perform a reflective analysis of the stages developed and map the nursing care in the insertion, maintenance and removal of the peripherally inserted central venous catheter. Methods: This work was elaborated in two parts. In part I, a reflective analysis of the activities developed in each of the stages was performed, based on the common and specific competencies of the nurse specialist in Surgical Medical Nursing. Part II contains, in article format, the research component: Nursing care in the insertion, maintenance and removal of the peripherally inserted central venous catheter - scoping review Results: The internships allowed me to develop skills in the various areas, cementing the knowledge previously acquired. The research component allowed me to develop research and synthesis capacities. Conclusions: The realization of the internships allowed me to improve my clinical practice, providing more specialized care. The elaboration of the research component allowed the identification of nursing interventions, with regard to the peripherally inserted central venous catheter, which allow an improvement in care.
