RESUMO
Portugal é o segundo país da Europa com um maior número de casos de
gravidez na adolescência, estando este facto associado ao desencadeamento de
muitos distúrbios psico-patológicos nesta faixa etária (INE, 2009). Face a este
enquadramento, a presente investigação tem como objectivo avaliar a resposta de
retração social em bebés de mães adolescentes com sintomatologia depressiva e
ansiosa, 3 meses após o parto. Como instrumentos de medida serão utilizados a
Escala Bonding, a The Alarm Distress de Bebe Scale (ADBB), a Postpartum
Depression Screening Scale (PDSS) e o Inventário da Ansiedade Traço-Estado
(IDATE). A amostra desta investigação será constituída por cerca de 150 mães
adolescentes e respectivos bebés, residentes no interior da região centro de Portugal.
A grande meta subjacente a este projecto de investigação é que o mesmo seja
concretizado, de forma a deixar contributos empíricos para futuras estratégias
orientadas para a prevenção de depressão e ansiedade no período pós-parto na
adolescência, sustentadas pela elaboração de manuais de boas práticas.
ABSTRACT Portugal is the second country in Europe with a greater number of cases of teenage pregnancy, and this fact associated with the onset of many disorders psychopathology in this age group (INE, 2009). Against this background, this research aims to evaluate the response of social withdrawal in infants of adolescent mothers with depression and anxiety, three months after delivery. As tools to be used, we chosed the Bonding Scale, the Alarm Distress Bebe Scale (ADBB), the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale (PDSS) and the Inventory of State-Trait Anxiety (STAI). The sample of this research will consist of approximately 150 teenage mothers and their babies living in the interior central region of Portugal. The major goal behind this research project is that it be implemented in order to allow for future empirical contributions targeted strategies for the prevention of depression and anxiety in the postpartum period in adolescence, supported the preparation of manuals of good practice.
