ERPI Moradias como resposta à necessidade de institucionalização dos “novos idosos”

| dc.description.abstract | presente trabalho refere-se à criação de uma resposta social inovadora na área dos idosos, sendo esta denominada ao longo de todo o projeto “ERPI moradias”. Esta é uma resposta social inovadora no concelho e surge para fazer face ao aumento da população idosa presente no mesmo, criando novas medidas para que os mesmos possam ter a sua autonomia garantida, assim como a satisfação das suas necessidades sem invadir a sua privacidade, ou forçar a integração de regras específicas que lhes façam perder o seu livre-arbítrio. Para o desenvolvimento do projeto foram realizadas entrevistas estruturadas para assim podermos obter um conhecimento sobre a realidade dos idosos na freguesia selecionada, abordando as diferentes áreas da sua vida quotidiana, mas também explorando as suas fontes de rendimento, e condições habitacionais. Após a recolha de dados, foi criado um projeto com a nova resposta social para fazer face às dificuldades que foram verificadas. Apurou-se assim que os idosos, apesar de, na sua maioria, serem bastante autónomos, necessitam de apoio para a realização de atividades da vida diária, como a higienização das roupas e da casa, preparação de refeições, apoio na toma de medicação, ou até para a higienização de alguma parte do corpo. Tudo isto são fatores que podem contribuir para a diminuição da autonomia do mesmo, fazendo com que este esteja dependente de terceiros, perdendo a sua autonomia e a criação das suas próprias rotinas. Foi verificado também que, em alguns casos, as habitações necessitam de reparações, e apesar de serem indivíduos autónomos, as suas habitações não possuem condições para o fornecimento do seu bem-estar. Através de todo o projeto, podemos verificar que na área social é muito importante a criação de novas respostas que possam satisfazer as necessidades dos novos idosos, e também que possam promover a sustentabilidade financeira das IPSS, uma vez que cada vez mais as mesmas caminham para uma subsidiodependência, colocando em risco o fornecimento de serviços aos idosos ou a outras faixas etárias por estarem dependentes apenas de apoios provenientes do Estado. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This works regards to the creation of an innovative social response in the area of he elderly, which is termed throughout the project “ERPI housing”. This is an innovative social response in the county and comes to cope with the increase of the elderly population present in the municipality, creating new measures so that they can have their autonomy guaranteed, as well as the satisfaction of their needs without invading their privacy, or force the integration of specific rules that make them lose their free will. For the development of the project, structured interviews were carried out so that we could gain knowledge about the reality of the elderly in the selected parish, addressing the different areas of their daily life, but also exploring their sources of income and housing conditions. After data collection, a project was created with the new social response to address the difficulties that were encountered. Thus, it was found that the elderly, although mostly autonomous, need support to perform activities of daily living, such as cleaning clothes and home, preparing meals, support in taking medication, or even for cleaning some part of the body. All these are factors that can contribute to the reduction of the autonomy of the same, making it dependent on third parties, losing their autonomy and the creation of their own routines. It has also been found that in some cases the dwellings need repairs, and although they are self-employed individuals, their dwellings are unable to provide their welfare. Throughout the project, we can see that in the social area it is very important to create new answers that can meet the needs of the new elderly, as well as promote the financial sustainability of the IPSS, as they are increasingly moving towards subsidiarity, jeopardizing the provision of services to the elderly or other age groups because they are only dependent on state support | pt_PT |
