Abstract(s)
Métodos: O presente relatório espelha as experiências vivenciadas, as intervenções
A Scoping review
Items for Systematic Reviews Statement (PRISMA) e o método PCC: P (população –
PubMed/Medline e CINAHL complete.

Abstract Introduction: The first part of this report describes the internships in a critical and reflective analysis of the process of acquisition and development of competencies inherent to specialized practice in Medical-Surgical Nursing. One of the internships was developed in an Emergency Department of a Central Region Hospital Center and the other in a Coronary Intensive Care Unit of the same Hospital Center. The research component, which is in the second part, consisted of a Scoping review in the area of communication between nurses and the multidisciplinary team in intra-operative care, for better results in patient safety. Objective: This report aimed to certify the acquisition of competencies of the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing and map the scientific evidence on how communication between nurses and the intra-operative multidisciplinary team is valued for better patient safety outcomes, through a Scoping review. Methods: This report reflects the experiences lived, the interventions made, through a descriptive and reflective method. The Scoping review was conducted according to the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute, Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Statement (PRISMA) and the PCC method: P (population - nurse/multidisciplinary team); C (context - operating room, intra-operative); C (concept - enhancement of communication between nurses and the multidisciplinary team for better patient safety outcomes). With a search in PubMed/Medline and CINAHL complete databases. After applying the inclusion criteria, the corpus of analysis was composed of five articles. Results: We found that the role-based relationships between nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in an operating room setting are consistent with the theory of relational coordination, which describes appropriate communication and relationship dynamics. In teams characterized by a proactive and intuitive communication pattern, there was an explicit effort to know what was going on around them in the OR. This awareness was considered a very important knowledge for the performance of highly complex surgical procedures, a strategy for ensuring patient safety. Conclusion: The completion of the internships clearly shows that the Medical- Surgical Nurse, due to the skills he/she possesses and based on his/her specialized knowledge, plays an important role in terms of good practices in his/her areas of intervention. Keywords: Medical-Surgical Nursing; Nurse; Communication; Operating Room; intraoperative; Patient Safety.
