Num mundo globalizado, o mercado procura soluções inovadoras que respondam às suas
necessidades e, por sua vez, as organizações dedicam os seus esforços no sentido de garantir
as melhores soluções que acrescentem valor e assegurem elevados níveis de rentabilidade.
A presente tese de mestrado teve como objetivo um estudo e avaliação das potencialidades da
norma de Gestão do Valor, que proporcionou a seleção e a aplicação, num caso real, de uma
das suas abordagens, neste caso, a metodologia de Engenharia do Valor.
A realização do trabalho permitiu avaliar a implementação da metodologia, seguindo as
diretrizes da norma de Gestão do Valor e o desenvolvimento de um esquema e roteiros próprio
das fases da Análise do Valor (AV) / Engenharia do Valor (EV) para futuras aplicações.
Foi fundamental a dinamização de uma equipa de trabalho na organização em estudo, com
vista ao desenvolvimento do processo criativo da conceção e desenvolvimento de um produto
e da aplicação das metodologias da Análise e Criação de Valor, quando enquadrados no âmbito
em ambiente industrial.
O resultado da aplicação prática da metodologia de Engenharia do Valor, no desenvolvimento
de um produto, permitiu a sua conceção, com base na relação entre o desempenho das funções
e os custos e recursos necessários à sua realização, ou seja, o seu Valor.
ABSTRACT:In a globalized world, the market is looking for innovative solutions that respond to its needs and in turn, organizations dedicate their efforts to guarantee the best solutions that add value and ensure high levels of profitability. The present Master's thesis aimed at a study and evaluation of the potentialities of the Value Management standard, which provided the selection and application, in a real situation, of one of its approaches, in this case, the Value Engineering methodology. The work carried out allowed us to evaluate the implementation of the methodology, following the guidelines of the Value Management standard and develop our own scheme and guidelines of the Value Analysis (VA) / Value Engineering (VE) phases for future applications. The promotion of a work team within the organization under study was fundamental, with a view to the development of the creative process of product design and the application of the methodologies of Value Analysis and Value Creation, when integrated in industrial environment. The result of the practical application of the Value Engineering methodology, in the development of a product, allowed its conception, based on the relationship between the performance of the functions and the costs and resources required for its realization, that is, its Value.
