| dc.description.abstract | Perspetivar a infância e adolescência como etapas fundamentais no pleno desenvolvimento dos indivíduos, permite compreender a importância que as relações proximais detêm nas mencionadas fases. O sistema familiar desempenha um importante papel, dado que é a partir da dinâmica relacional e dos valores transmitidos no seu seio que as crianças e jovens percecionam e interagem com o meio envolvente. No entanto, quando este sistema se encontra perante situações comprometedoras do desenvolvimento saudável dos seus elementos, nomeadamente situações de pobreza e exclusão social, prevê-se um impacto negativo no estreitamento de relações entre os seus elementos, bem como no expectável desenvolvimento das crianças e jovens. Compreender que a vivência de situações de pobreza e exclusão social não se referem, meramente, à escassez de recursos monetários mas, antes, a um impacto multifatorial nas várias esferas de desenvolvimento, impossibilitando, deste modo, o exercício de uma cidadania plena e participativa, permite salientar a necessidade de implementar medidas e estratégias capazes de combater e atenuar os seus efeitos. Urge, assim, a necessidade de mobilizar esforços capazes de promover uma sociedade inclusiva e igualitária, o qual se perspetive o indivíduo e, em particular, as crianças e jovens, como seres detentores de direitos e deveres. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Looking at childhood and adolescence as fundamental stages in the full development of individuals allows us to understand the importance of proximal relationships in these phases. The family system plays an important role, since it is from the relational dynamics and the values transmitted within it that children and young people perceive and interact with their surroundings. However, when this system is faced with situations compromising the healthy development of its members, namely situations of poverty and social exclusion, a negative impact is expected on the tightening of relationships between its members, as well as on the expected development of children and young people. Understanding that the experience of situations of poverty and social exclusion does not merely refer to the lack of monetary resources, but rather to a multifactorial impact on the various spheres of development, thus preventing the exercise of full and participatory citizenship, allows highlighting the need to implement measures and strategies capable of combating and mitigating their effects. Thus, there is an urgent need to mobilise efforts capable of promoting an inclusive and egalitarian society, in which the individual and, in particular, children and young people, are seen as beings with rights and duties. | pt_PT |
